The club is a service organization made up of business and professional leaders that donate money and time to local community organizations through its fundraising efforts. Your participation in this event will help assure that the people and organizations in need of help will get the resources they need.

WHAT GATE DO I ENTER?

General Admission - Use any general admission gate.

WHAT HAPPENS WHEN THE PARK CLOSES DUE TO CROWD CAPACITY?

The decision to close the gates of Ribfest due to crowd density is the decision of the City of Lake in the Hills Police and Fire Departments in concert with Ribfest leadership. Their decision to close for public safety is based on the ability for people to get out of the park in case of an emergency. Crowd density is determined by the examination of the flow of people primarily by the stage. If the walkways remain open and clear and people can move around, the city will keep the gates open. However, we can never guarantee the park will not close in the event of an emergency. The safety and well being of our event attendees is of utmost concern.

DOES THE PARK CLOSE IF IT RAINS?

Ribfest will remain open during periods of light to moderate rain showers, however, the event will close temporarily during periods of heavy rain, high winds and/or lightning. Ribfest works with the Local Emergency Officials and The Management Weather Team to continually monitor weather conditions relative to the event location to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all our attendees at our Ribfest event. However, Ribfest will temporarily close during any period where lightning is present, at which time, all guests will be asked to leave the park until is is deemed safe to return. When radar indicates 'all clear', the park will then re-open. Up to date information, in the event of a concern about the park closing, will be posted on our Facebook, Twitter and Instagram social media pages.

WHAT DO YOU SUGGEST A FAMILY BRING FOR A DAY AT RIBFEST?

Summertime in Lake in the Hills can be quite sunny and warm. We recommend bringing sun block and sunglasses. The dining tents provide shady spots to eat and rest. Wear comfortable shoes because Sunset Park cover a large all grass area.

IS THERE A LOST AND FOUND?

Lost & found is located near the beverage area. If unsure of where to go, simply ask one of our friendly Rotarians (wearing bright yellow t-shirts) or ask a police officer for an escort to lost & found.

WHAT IF I GET SEPARATED FROM MY CHILD? WHAT IS CHILD ID?

Our friendly Rotarians and Police can help if you become separated from your child. We can even make an announcement over our event's sound system to alert both the parent or child of where to meet to re-connect. HINT: take your child's photo right before you enter the park. Again, if your child gets lost, immediately contact the nearest police officer or Ribfest representative and provide them with a detailed description of your child - clothing, age, name, last location etc.

IS THERE RE-ENTRY INTO THE PARK?

Attendees can re-enter the park by getting a hand stamp before leaving the park grounds. (Re-entry without a hand stamp is not guaranteed but rarely a problem).
